Die Insel Dominika, eine unabhängige Republik in der östlichen Karibik, ist die drittgrößte der Kleinen Antillen und liegt zwischen Guadeloupe und Martinique.

Die Insel erhielt ihren Namen nach dem Tag der Entdeckung durch Christoph Columbus, einem Sonntag (lateinisch: dies dominica).

Isle of Beauty, Isle of Splendour ist die Nationalhymne des Commonwealth of Dominica. Sie wurde im Jahr 1967 offizielle Nationalhymne. Die Worte stammen von Wilfred Oscar Morgan Pond, die Melodie von Lemuel McPherson Christian.
